Mountain Cover Nature Conservatory and Winery

So on a lazy Sunday, after spending most of Saturday trying to find a mattress, we decided to head up into the mountains and go hiking. Wes had heard of a nature conservatory that had a nice hike around it a little over 5 miles.

South Beach and the Everlgades

So we ended up spending a little more time in Key West and a little less time in South Beach, but that worked out quite well. We decided it would be best to rent a car for the two days we would be in South Beach so we could get around while Drew went back to work on Tuesday. We stopped at a Mcdonalds on the way up and hooked up to a WiFi connection, rented a car at Miami airport and then headed up to pick it up.

The Key to Key West is....

Well by now you all know we are back, we survived Florida! Just barely, we almost didn't make it down there. Our plane got delayed for three hours and we missed our transfer in Atlanta. We ran around the airport trying to get any flight out to Florida and ended up catching the last flight out to West Palm Beach, we ended up with a dinner of sun chips and peanut butter crackers for dinner and having Wes's friend Drew picking us up at 1:00 a.m.

Our Trip Plans to Florida

We are planning to go to Florida over the Labor Day weekend for 5 days. We are heading down to Miami to meet Wes's friend Drew. On Saturday we will depart (in Drew's convertable!!) and head down to the Florida Keys, we are really excited about this drive, it is suppose to be stunning! The plan for now is to stop and visit the Everglades on the way down to Key West, we are looking into stopping at a Native American Indian Reservation in the Everglades and taking a tour on a air boat! I have always wanted to ride on an air boat! After which we will make our way down to Key West to stay Saturday through Monday.

Things we are thinking of doing in Key West Include:

Snokling

Suba Diving (Drew is bringing his gear)

Relaxing on the Beach

B.O.'s Fish Wagon

Bannana Cafe

Visiting the famous bars

Shopping (Well Stephanie shopping anyways) - Kino Sandals

On Monday we will head back up the Keys stopping in Marathon to take a Mangrove kayaking tour marathonkayak.com or snorkling in Key Largo.

We will stay in two nights in South Beach at a hotel in the Art Deco fashion. Drew mentioned wanting to go to the Hard Rock Casino somewhere around the area besides that, we will lay on the beach and check out the night life (and go shopping)

This is our tentative plan, I am sure plans will change, new adventures to be made! We are quite excited!

Why We have a Blog?

Wes and I are crazy-traveling-fools, we love to visit different places, talk to different people and share in cultural experiences from different areas. In the year and some months I have known Wes, we have traveled to Europe twice, Canada, and a good couple of different states in the US. We want to share our experiences with you all through pictures and stories, hopefully we will update it on a regular basis, hehe.

Our next trip will be over Labor Day, we are going to visit Wes's friend Drew in Florida, we are going for 5 days. We will fly into Miami, drive with Drew down through the Keys down to Key West and stay for three days, we hope to do some snorkeling, kayaking and other water sports, then we will travel back up to the Miami area and stay in South Beach for two days and check out the night life! Well, we will see how long we can stay up anyways!

P.S Before I post this, you may be wondering why this blog is called WooTraveler, or you may just assume we are crazy and not really wonder why, but the long and short of it is that we have a stuffed penguin who will be accompanying us on our trips, named WooTraveler, you should expect to see it in many of our travel pictures to come, just something to amuse ourselves, and hopefully you too!
